Characteristics of anodic oxidation film

There are many kinds of decoration oxidation technology of aluminum and aluminum alloy, which can be divided into two kinds: chemical oxidation method and electrochemical oxidation method.The application of anodic oxidation treatment is more extensive.This is because the oxidation film obtained by aluminum oxidation treatment is superior to that obtained by all chemical oxidation methods.After chemical or electrochemical polishing of aluminum and aluminum alloy parts, after anodizing, the oxide film layer with high gloss, brightness and transparency can be obtained.If it is oxidized under certain technical conditions, it can form an imitation glaze layer on its surface, so as to obtain special decorative effect on the surface of aluminum products.According to incomplete statistics, the decoration oxidation technology of aluminum and aluminum alloy has been developed to dozens of kinds in China.

The thickness of the oxide film obtained by anodizing treatment is generally 5-20vm, and the thickness of hard anodizing film can reach 60-2500m.The film layer also has similar properties:

The first point: high hardness

The hardness of pure aluminum oxide film is higher than that of aluminum oxide film.In general, its hardness is related to the alloy composition of aluminum and the technical conditions of electrolyte during anodization.The anodic oxide film has high hardness and good wear resistance.In particular, the porous oxide film on the surface has the ability to absorb lubricant and can further improve the wear resistance of the surface.

Second point: high corrosion resistance

This is due to the high chemical stability of the anodized film.The anodic oxidation film of pure aluminum is better than that of aluminum alloy.This is because the alloy composition inclusions or forms metal compounds that cannot be oxidized or dissolved, making the aluminum oxide film of die casting discontinuous or creating voids, thus greatly reducing the corrosion resistance of the oxide film.Therefore, the film obtained by anodic oxidation must be closed to improve its corrosion resistance.

Third point: strong adsorption capacity.

The anodic oxidation film of aluminum and aluminum alloy is a porous structure with strong adsorption capacity. Therefore, filling the hole with various pigments, lubricants and resins can further improve the protection, insulation, wear-resistance and decorative performance of aluminum products.

Fourth point: good insulation

The anodic oxidation film of aluminum and aluminum alloy has become a good insulating material without the conductive properties of metal.

Fifth point: strong thermal insulation

This is because the thermal conductivity of the anodized film is much lower than that of pure aluminum.Anodic oxidation film can heat resistance around 1500 C, pure aluminium can only 660 ° C.To sum up, aluminum and aluminum alloy are treated by chemical oxidation, especially by anodic oxidation.Therefore, it is widely used in aviation, electrical, electronic, mechanical manufacturing and light industry.
